What is Qigong?

Qigong is an ancient healing form of Chinese medicine. It is a simple yet powerful way to awaken your natural healing ability. Qigong is a study of energy. It has been shown effective in the prevention and healing of many diseases. This ancient discipline combines mental concentration, breathing technique, body movements and sound to activate and cultivate “vital energy” as it flows through the channels of the body. Energy must be kept in balance. Energy imbalances cause energy blockages and when a blockage forms, we feel symptoms in the physical body. Body functioning slows down or stops and we feel sick. To get well, we must remove the blockages and open channels.

What are Qigong active exercises?

The active exercises are like gentle moving meditations. They strengthen your physical energy and open all the energy channels in the body, bringing it back into balance, getting rid of energy blockages, and developing spiritual energy so that you can heal physically, mentally, and spiritually at the same time. The exercises open all energy channels through gentle movement and focus on your mind and breath. You can practice them by standing, sitting or even lying down.
